Do it afraid

It wasn’t until recently, after reflecting on all of the posts, comments, engagements from Life coaches in my facebook community, what this phrase meant. It really focuses on the intention behind what motivates to act when fear is present. It can stand between ones heart being broken and rebirthed and ones heart being broken and scarred within a delay for rebirth. If we act to placate the fear and to prove a point, to gain the approval of others, if we shy away from saying something to avoid confrontation, even within ourselves, it breaks our hearts…because we put fear before us, rather than beside us.

In the scenario of our heart breaking and our hearts are rebirthed, our fear is beside us and we proceed forward all the well-knowing we are doing something absolutely terrifying like standing up to others, speaking our mind and following through with confronting someone we love and care about, anyway.

One of my favorite book authors is Jacqueline Winspear. I just finished reading the 10th novel in the Maisie Dobbs series and there is a character anointing Maisie’s decision to travel outside of her country to a whole new world. Here is their discussion. The dialogue can be found on page 326 of the hardcopy of Leaving Everything Most Loved. I cannot put the excerpt verbatim here, yet, because I have not received permission, however, in summation, a newly forged friend’s wisdom is that when you do leave everything most loved, your heart  breaks open and that allows us to find untold treasures inside that opens our heart to things new and different, as if breaking from a cocoon and becoming a magnificent and fragile yet deceivingly powerful new making of us. It is a matter of if we wish to be open to it or not.

I want this to be a safe space to share my goings-on while I dig deep into my journey of self-discovery. What brings me to my desire to share my journey? I wish to provide life-coaching services to others. I coach to help others uncover what it is that is holding them back from accomplishing what is dearest in their hearts, spirit and minds. I am currently a student at iPEC, Institute of Professional Excellence in coaching. I am determined to disseminate my coaching services to all those interested. While I coach, I also would like to share bits and pieces of what it is that I do as a life coach-to-be and inversely, what I do not do. I am an imagineer, at your service. That is the best way I can describe a life coach to you. As a life coach-to-be, I can teach you how to think outside the box, consider alternative perspectives and reflect on what influences your thoughts. If any of this sounds like something you are experiencing, what is stopping you from moving forward? A space to message me may be found on the middle menu option on my home page. I acknowledge, appreciate and embody gratitude for each and every one of you and the struggles which you endeavour each and every moment. No one is a stranger to adversity. We can all overcome adversity because of our combined diversity. Thank you for contributing your time into our growing and collective, worldly diversity. Endearingly yours, Kim
